"I showed up every day for a sport that never gave me what I was looking for. When it was gone, I had no idea who I was."
I spent years pouring everything into golf. When it ended, I was completely lost. That identity crisis became my greatest teacher. One year after shaking in speech class in front of 12 classmates, I delivered a TEDx talk to 86 people.
What I discovered: my identity was never in the sport. It was in who I am.

I showed up every day for something that never showed up for me.

I played sports my entire life. Golf was everything — my identity, my worth, my reason for getting up in the morning. I showed up every single day, even when the results didn't come. Even when the sport didn't show up for me.
When golf ended, I didn't just lose a sport. I lost myself. That identity crisis became the most important moment of my life.
I started from scratch. Philosophy. Finance. Public speaking — even though I was terrified. I went from shaking in front of 12 classmates to delivering a TEDx talk in front of 86 people one year later. Not because fear disappeared — but because I finally understood who I was.
